Teachers Network Leadership Institute The national Teachers Network Leadership Institute (TNLI) is a diverse group of public school teachers from across the country--representing all grade levels and subject areas. Fellows conduct action research projects, prepare reports documenting their findings, disseminate their work and take action to implement their policy recommendations. They also read and discuss shared journal articles, research educational policy issues and prepare policy papers. TNLI Action Research--Studies focus on real issues and the impact of policy within teachers' own classrooms and schools. The research addresses the direct link between policymaking and its effects on student learning. TNLI is a project of the National Teachers Network. It provides teachers nationwide the opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills to influence policy locally, statewide, and nationally. 2010 TNLI Fellow Action Research Great Expectations-Linda Edwards, Santa Barbara County Education Office, Senior MetLife Fellow, Cold Springs School, Cold Springs School District - Summary The Einstein Fellowship 20th Anniversary Summit-Luke Laurie, Santa Barbara County, Senior TNLI MetLife Fellow, El Camino Junior High School, Santa Maria–Bonita School District - Summary An Investigation: No Child Left Behind, California Mathematics Standards-Mary Post, Santa Barbara County Education Office, Senior MetLife TNLI Fellow, Foothill Elementary School, Goleta Union School District - Summary Constructing Scientific Literacy in Inquiry-Based Communities of Science Practice-Kristen A.
