POSTER   REQUIREMENTS
 
1. POSTER  SIZE APPROXIMATELY 22 INCHES BY 28 INCHES
2. Using 2 INCH HIGH LETTERS ( neatly or artistically) make the following titles :
    " PLAGUE - The Black Death"  ,  "Bubonic",  "Septicimic" ,  "Numonic"
3.Include the following information on your poster :
    1.Where and when it began, where it spread, how it spread,
    2.What the symptoms were and how people died,
    3. What the people of the Middle Ages thought caused it,
    4. How many people died in Europe, what the long term effects were on society,
    5. And lastly- What do we know today about the cause of plague, and how is it treated?
4. MINIMUM 10 LARGE COLORED PICTURES (neatly cut or drawn) on colored
    construction paper backing to act like a colored frame -
    WITH CAPTIONS ( use your own words to describe the pictures and tell the story- for best
                                      results type the captions or use excellent printing)
 ( **The pictures should represent the most important events or people in the story of the Plague
        that killed millions in Europe in the Middle Ages. Pictures may be symbolic of events and
        people  - you may use modern magazines or use coloring books in addition to pictures you
        find in research books. If you xerox a picture you MUST color it . Many excellent pictures
       are available on the internet, including my website)
5. INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE MAP ON YOUR POSTER WHICH IDENTIFIES WHERE
    THE EVENT TOOK PLACE

6. NOTES YOU USED TAPED TO THE BACK SIDE
