LESSONS FROM
SPARTACUS
Pretending that you were actually there, write a LETTER HOME detailing the event you remember well in the story of Spartacus. It should be about 100 words. Check for correct spelling and sentence structure.
Include
WHAT happened,
WHO was
involved,
WHERE this
event took place,
WHY this event happened, and
end with the1 LESSON you picked for this event.
one 5x8 index card
one 5x8 piece of colored construction paper
3 colored pictures sized to fit neatly on your 5x8 construction paper:
1 colored map of Italy with a star on it showing where your event took place
at least 2 colored pictures showing the action or people of your event
How to do it :
1. Attach your pictures neatly and artistically to fit on the 5x8 construction paper.
2. Write a short dramatic title on
the construction paper which fits your event.
(such as: "Death at Vesuvius !" or "Escape from Capua !" or "Breakout !"
or "Death for Spartacus !")
3. Attach the completed construction paper, with pictures and title, onto the 5x8 index card
4. Turn the 5x8 index card over to
the lined side and use about ¾ of the side to write your letter home.
| Dear__________ (your letter home that you wrote) Love, _______ ________ |
|
Begin like you would a personal letter : Dear_____,
and end with your full name.(so I know who wrote it !)
5. On the right hand ¼ side, write
the address of the person you are sending the postcard to and draw a
stamp.
Then make sure everything looks neat and artistic, check your handwriting and spelling, complete name, etc.
